When December Arrives And You Need No Chill --- Wear Puffer Jackets!

Are you starting to feel the chilling cold yet? Well, for me, as soon as November enters the calendar, I already start to prepare and ready myself for the long and dark months of winter. Although winter is really punishing to the body and can cause you sickness and colds when you aren't used to it yet, the great thing about winter is that you can start to layer and wear your jackets that you kept in the closet for months. If you think positively, you can consider winter as the only season where you can layer up and not get all sweaty --- so you can still try to look good even while winter is around!

If you know me, I really enjoy having sets of two or three winter jackets in a couple of different, varying styles. This provides me with a lot more choices and options when it comes to wearing a winter jacket. One current style that has grown on me lately is the quilted puffer jacket --- which incidentally got its name from the puffer fish who "puffs" in air when threatened.

So what is a puffer jacket? Basically, most definitions list a puffer jacket as "a jacket with trademark on its sectioned or quilted design. The coat’s exterior is composed of a number of puffy sections which are separated by seams and are filled with down or a synthetic material that is intended to provide warmth to the wearer. Puffer jackets are typically both light and warm, unlike heavy wool coats." Compared to other heavy jackets such as bombers and parkas, the puffer jacket is something that is easy to wear and not too stressful to lug around.

Celebrities such as Kanye West are known for their fashion and style, most especially in the way that they layer their clothes. Having said that, Kanye is a fan of wearing jackets, and the puffer jacket is not an exception. This trend of celebrities wearing puffer jackets to keep the chill away, especially when they are out and touring, isn't new. The puffer jacket is one of the perfect jackets to wear in these occasions because it is lightweight and easy to carry too.

When winter comes, it is always best to protect your self from the cold. But that doesn't mean that you can't be fashionable while keeping your self warm, right?
