In the past, I often remember the jogger pants as something "utilitarian". And what do I exactly mean by that, anyway? In short, I only see people wearing jogger pants when they are in for a training session or a running exercise. People don't wear jogger pants for "fashion" purposes before, and most of my male friends would feel embarrassed wearing jogger pants on a casual, day to day circumstance. Today, however, jogger pants are created in so many ways, styles and designs --- floral prints, straight solid colors, symmetric designs --- that one can easily choose his most preferred design. Jogger pants today also come in so many different materials and cuts --- cuffed, folded, brimmed, slim fit, These varied styles, colors and designs makes fashion-forward males eager to try out and wear jogger pants even when they aren't doing exercises or running sessions.
Out of the modern styles and designs that the jogger pants of today possess, one thing that I think works really well is the camouflage design. Originating from the ERDL (Engineer Research & Development Laboratories) design that was first used by the United States Army, the camouflage has found its way into the heart of many fashion-forward brands. From shoes, to clothes, to jackets and now even jogger pants, the camouflage design is just way too cool to be ignored. The dark design is a perfect alternative to the sometimes tiring solid-colored slacks, and the washed out camouflage print is also a great substitute for the bleached and faded denim.
